How it works
How SMSWell works
Bring in your contacts, text from your own numbers, answer replies as one team and see what each text did.
7:00 am
Your numbers and your contacts
Each plan comes with sending numbers: 1 on Starter, 3 on Growth and 10 on Scale. Give each team or site its own, so a pharmacy's patients and a staffing team's caregivers each see a number they know.
Every number has to be registered with the carriers for business texting before it sends. The carriers set that timeline, so we don't promise a date.
Contacts come in from a CSV file, usually an export from a system you already run, or you add them by hand. SMSWell doesn't connect to EHR or scheduling software, so there's nothing for IT to set up.
9:00 am
Campaigns and what they report
Write a text, personalize it with fields from your contact list and send it to everyone or to a segment. On Growth and Scale you can schedule it, set it to repeat and save it to a shared template library, so every team starts from the same wording.
Each campaign shows how many texts were delivered, how many links were clicked and how many people replied, and the numbers update in real time. There's no open rate, because carriers don't report opens.

The shared inbox and assignment
Every reply comes back to one inbox. On any plan you can assign a conversation to a teammate. Growth and Scale add assigned segments and routing by number, so each team owns its contacts and the replies to its number reach that team.
AI sorts the inbox by priority, writes a short summary of long threads and drafts a reply. A person reads the draft, changes what needs changing and presses send. The AI never sends, and it doesn't give medical advice.

Automations and the rules they follow
Keyword opt-in adds people who text a word like FLU to your number, with their consent on record. After-hours auto-replies tell people when you'll be back. Recurring sends on Growth and Scale take care of the reminders you'd otherwise send by hand.
On every plan, quiet hours hold scheduled texts until your sending window opens, and a STOP reply opts a contact out right away.

Users, roles and reporting
Every plan includes unlimited users and contacts, so every team can work in one account without a seat count. Scale adds admin roles, an audit log you can export and priority onboarding.
